Josh Millard

Class of 2017
Josh Millard with a veteran in D.C.

I was a summer intern at the House of Representatives with Congressman Mike Bost in 2016.  Then in the summer of 2017 I was an intern at the House of Representatives with Congressman Darin LaHood.  In additional to constituent service and tours of the Capitol, the first week I worked with Mike Bost I was able to greet the Honor Flight program from the Congressman’s district. It was just an awesome experience and our office gave that veteran a thank you and a flag that was flown over the Capitol building.   It was a really special experience.

MOST VALUABLE:  From seeing how the political system works, attaining skills that are transferable to any field, and having the opportunity to work in one of the most important cities in the world, I found the whole experience extremely valuable for me professionally and personally.

FUTURE PLANS? After graduation I had the summer internship in Washignton, D.C. with Congressman LaHood, but have moved home to be with my family and run for my County Board, while still staying in touch with my friends still in D.C.
