Inter-Intra College Transfer (ICT) Information

Transfer Process and Application

All University of Illinois students who wish to transfer to a concentration in ACE must complete the transfer process.

All current ACE students who wish to change concentrations must complete the transfer process.

The next opportunity to transfer to ACE or within ACE will be August 2017. Applications are due by 12:00 pm (noon), Friday, August 18, 2017in 304 Mumford Hall.  Transfer decisions will be communicated via e-mail no later than 5:00 pm, Friday, August 25, 2017. 

COURSE REQUIREMENTS FOR TRANSFER: All applicants must have credit for or be currently enrolled in: 

  • ACE 100 or ECON 102 AND
  • At least one of the QRI required Math courses from either
    • GROUP 1: MATH 124 (Finite Mathematics), 125 (Elementary Linear Algebra), or
    • GROUP 2: 220 (Calculus), 221 (Calculus I), 234 (Calculus for Business).
APPLICATIONS:  Applications will be available from this website or in 304 Mumford Hall as of Friday, July 14, 2017.

Students accepted for transfer to ACE will need to meet with an ACE Undergraduate Program representative to complete the transfer process by Friday, September 8, 2017. Specific times available for such meetings will be communicated in the email notification of transfer decisions.

Additional ICT opportunities for ACE will be held in October, 2017 and January, 2018 and March 2018.

SUGGESTED COURSES:  Beyond that however, ACE does not have explicit course requirements which must be completed to be eligible to apply and transfer into it, nevertheless an applicant's application is strengthened by taking and excelling in the courses listed below.  

For entry with sophomore status (midterm transfers such as October or March are effective at the beginning of the semester after application is accepted):

ACE 161 or CS 105

For entry with junior status - all of the above, plus:

Second course from the remaining ACE QRI MATH GROUP requirement, i.e. GROUP 1 -- MATH 124, 125, or 231 or GROUP 2 -- MATH 220, 221 or 234

ECON 103

ACCY 201

CMN 101 or 112

ACE 261 or ECON 202
