Getting Prepared With ACE

Clare Nawrocki

One of the reasons why the University of Illinois is so renowned are the opportunities available to build the perfect skill-sets for your professional future. The courses in ACE adequately prepare you for technical job applications and work demands. ACE 222 and 428 provides an excellent introduction into trading, commodities, futures, options, and hedging. We have guest speakers come to class and lecture about the influential aspects of these trading tools in their businesses. BTW 250, Business and Technical Writing, has provided me with classroom opportunities to improve my resume and cover letter as well as strengthen my public speaking skills by giving presentations to the class. ACE 435, Global Agribusiness Management, gave me a universal perspective of how and where our agriculture comes from and goes to. A big take away from this class is how we all work together to make the agriculture we need and love.

I love being an ACE major! ACE and ACES has provided me with the skills and opportunities to succeed and live the future I imagine.
