Politics and Economics? More complimentary than you thought.
I am currently a Sophomore at the University of Illinois, and being an ACE major (concentration of Public Policy and Law) has advanced my education in ways that I could have never imagined. In less than two years time, my major has allowed me to further my studies of economics and government while at the same time introducing me to the field of agriculture and its importance to the world. My coursework within my ACE major has tremendously complimented the internships I have had in the past year. During the 2014 Fall Semester, I interned for Illinois State Senator Chapin Rose at his district office in Champaign, and I am now working for the Champaign County and Illinois State Libertarian Party. I am so grateful for being an ACE major, not only because it has given me the skills to gain experience in the fields of my career interest, but also because I have learned a lot about agriculture and its economic and political ties.
